Software compatibility
AZERTY Global works with the vast majority of software. Here are the rare cases where an adjustment may be needed.
These conflicts concern Windows, where AltGr is sent as Ctrl+Alt.
Which channel do you have? On Windows, the taskbar tells you. An AG icon near the clock: that is the Microsoft Store app, which Ctrl+Shift+Caps Lock suspends and resumes. AZERTY Global in the keyboard list when you click FRA: that is the EXE installer, and Win+Space switches to your traditional AZERTY.
Why do some conflicts exist?
On Windows, AltGr sends Ctrl+Alt to the system. Modern applications (Word, Excel, browsers) correctly tell the two apart. A few programs, often Java- or Electron-based, confuse them, which can block certain AltGr characters. The usual solution: disable the conflicting shortcut in the software.

disable actionSystem.force.alt.gr to fix all conflicts at once.

Video games
The ² key (game console)
AZERTY Global replaces ² with @ on the key to the left of 1. The impact depends on how the game detects the console key:
- By scancode (physical position): the console works normally.
- By character (virtual key): the console may not open.
Smart Caps Lock
AZERTY Global’s Smart Caps Lock only affects letters. Games detect the key press, not the Caps Lock state.
Anti-cheat
The behavior depends on the Windows channel you use. Both options remain local and reversible, but they don’t work the same way under the hood.
EXE installer / MSKLC
This channel installs a standard Windows keyboard layout, with no AZERTY Global application hook. It is the most neutral channel if you often play games protected by anti-cheat.
Microsoft Store app
The app uses a local keyboard hook to remap keystrokes after sign-in. What you type is never recorded or sent; the app doesn’t inject a DLL into games, and deliberately pauses itself on some anti-cheat protected games.
If in doubt with a competitive game, use the EXE installer or disable the Microsoft Store app with Ctrl+Shift+Caps Lock.

Win+Space (EXE installer) or Ctrl+Shift+Caps Lock (Microsoft Store app) instantly switches between AZERTY Global and your traditional AZERTY.
Disable the conflicting shortcut
In the software’s settings, disable or delete the Ctrl+Alt+letter shortcut that blocks the character. Each entry above gives the path.
